The market capitalisation gained N532 billion to close at N26.786 trillion, compared with N26.253 trillion on Wednesday.
Market capitalisation shed N136.88 billion to close at N27.06 trillion from N27.20 trillion recorded on Tuesday.
A total of 156.09 million shares valued at N1.834 billion were exchanged in 4,312 deals.
The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in large capitalised stocks.
It marks the third consecutive loss in a week.
The upward movement extended the bourse’s gaining streak.
The All-Share Index advanced by or 0.98 per cent to close at 50,126.41 against 49,638.94 achieved on Friday.
The All Share Index (ASI) increased by 0.55 per cent to close at 48,837.76 points from 48,571.75 points on Wednesday.
The gain halted the bearish sentiments recorded in two consecutive days.
