Mr Abdulraheem told journalists that the unit impounded at least 20,000 commercial motorcycles between January and September.
Mr Abdulraheem said that the task force usually gave cover for the land grabbing agency anytime they carried out operations.
“Both the passengers and riders face a penalty of either three months jail term or N50,000 fine by the court or both, if found guilty.”
Earlier this month, the government crushed about 2,000 impounded motorcycles in line with its ban on Okada riders in the state.
A spokesman for the task force said reports of fake task force personnel harassing citizens were becoming worrisome to the agency.
“Enforcement officers were attacked by hoodlums in collaboration with Okada riders at the Ojodu Berger area, but they were subdued.”
