No group has claimed responsibility for the Thursday attack.
According to the BYM spokesperson, the attacked village is located about five kilometres away from the NIPSS.

“Almost all the houses in the village were set on fire. So far, we have recovered two bodies killed by the gunmen,” he said.

The gunmen attacked two immigration officers at about 8:45 p.m.
