This followed the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing controller-general, Haliru Nababa.
Mr Obaseki signed the warrants for the inmates’ release.
Mr Yusuf enjoined the inmates to be of good conduct and remain resilient.
The governor also requested the controller general of corrections to consider Plateau indigenes in future recruitments, as well as appointments in the management of the service.
