The victims were residents who had fled their villages to state-run shelters following previous attacks that gripped the vast agrarian region in central Nigeria.
According to him, the marauders are already planning to take over a section of Ajegunle and Powerline in the community by driving residents away from their homes.
Retiring police chief Okunlola Kamaldeen urged officers to redouble their efforts to ensure that fleeing herdsmen were arrested.
The group are asking that the federal government take responsibility for the killings and compensate the victims.
The group said the steps taken by the government would go a long way in addressing crisis between farmers and herders.
