Counter-narcotics police in eastern Afghanistan have destroyed more than 100 kilogrammes of illegal drugs.
Mr Ahamefule said the various drugs seized include cannabis sativa, heroin, methamphetamine, tramadol, diazepam, and psychotropic substances.
Mr Ofoyeju urged community members to support ongoing operations by providing credible intelligence on drug activities.
In Anambra State, a couple was arrested during a raid operation at Obosi, where 13.9kg Methamphetamine and 5.3kg skunk were recovered from them.
In a statement on Sunday, NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said one of the kingpins used dual identities to aid his cross-border movements.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it arrested 1,345 suspects and seized 8,430.239kg of illicit substances in 2024.
Mr Akomolafe said on Wednesday in Okitipupa, Ondo, that the rate at which drugs were being abused by youths and others in the country was alarming, adding that it called for serious concern.
Most of the seized drugs were ketamine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine tablets, heroin, ecstasy, and cocaine.
The drugs, worth the equivalent of €8.5 million ($9.06 million) and destined for an EU country, were hidden in mattresses.
Mr Danmalam urged the public to shun illicit drug abuse and trafficking.
