They described the allegation against former Governor Bello Matawalle as an act of mischief and a campaign of calumny by Governor Dauda Lawal.
They were on their way to Maradun Local Government Area of the state to assess some government projects.
Mr Matawalle said the recent order by the president to security agencies to deal decisively with bandits in the North-West and North-Central states yielded results.
The government recently closed schools, markets and public places over renewed insecurity in nine towns.
The Commissioner of Police in the state has been ordered to arrest and prosecute personnel of the affected stations caught violating the order.
Mr Dosara explained that the gesture was part of the state government’s relief measures to ease the economic hardship in the country.
“The 168 housing units initially sold at N6.8 million is now N4 million for the occupants,” the Zamfara government announced to the civil servants.
The government said N10,000 would be given to each beneficiary monthly across the 14 local government areas.
“The government, therefore, appealed to the students, parents and the university to exercise more patience, as the matter will soon be resolved.”
He advised residents to use the emergency toll number 112 during emergencies for swift action.
