The deployment was carried out in anticipation of a significant influx of visitors to the state during the festive season, according to the NSCDC.
Mr Sotiyo appealed to the public to support security personnel by reporting suspicious movements and persons in their environment to the nearest security agency.
The commandant said, “In his confessional statement, he said he had known the victim for three years and had asked her to be his girlfriend, but she rejected him.”
Mr Sotiyo said that the personnel would provide both covert and overt security during the festive period.

Mr Sotiyo said that the mines and steel unit of the corps arrested the suspects at a mining site in the town.
The NSCDC commandant explained that the suspects were arrested on Friday at about 8:21 p.m. with the NNPCL truck.
