Mr Haliru, a public servant, told the court on Thursday that his wife has been having extramarital affairs for about one year now.
The man told the court that he was seeking divorce because the customs and traditions of his village forbids adultery.
“If you have ever committed a sin in your life you have no moral justification or capacity to judge me.”
The accuser said she was impregnated by her lover while living and married to her husband.
“During the fight, she hit him with a plank and he died instantly. They have arrested her,” the woman’s relative told The Nation.
