The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has stopped posting corps members to some local government areas in Kebbi amid bandit attacks.
The police said evidence linking the suspect to the crime had been recovered.
Junaidu Marshall, the attorney general, disclosed this while briefing newsmen shortly after the council’s meeting held in Birnin Kebbi.
Mr Aliyu said the approval was in line with the governor’s commitment to revitalising tertiary education.
He also commended the role of youth and women in the process.
He, therefore, called for urgent support to the affected farmers.
Shehu-Kafindangi said, “The gesture was also aimed at providing succour to communities affected by the disaster.’’
Governor Nasir Idris has raised the alarm that some disgruntled elements in Kebbi have plotted to unleash mayhem on residents.
“It is important for us to come together to support vulnerable citizens with sympathy, benevolence and compassion.’’
Mr Idris made the donation on Thursday.
