Mr Haruna pleaded guilty of the one-count charge of theft but begged for leniency.
The defendant invited his victim, who happened to be his neighbour’s daughter, into his room before defiling her.
The 27-year-old ex-convict, Nurudeen Yusuf, was convicted for stealing iron rods valued at N88,000.
The court heard that the trousers and wrappers the woman stole were worth N158,000.
The 24-year-old stole beverages worth N1 million from a supermarket where he worked.
The prosecutor added that the wrappers were found in her bag when the convict was chased and searched.
Mr Auta, a resident of Rigasa Kaduna was charged with causing death by reckless driving.
Police said the convicts beat up the complainant during a misunderstanding, tore her cloths and also destroyed her phone worth N98,000.
The police also accused the defendant of forging a company’s waybill and converted the proceeds to his personal use.
The police said during the argument, the defendant used a broken bottle and stabbed him in the stomach.
