“The pardon not only offers a second chance but also reflects the government’s dedication to upholding the principles of justice and fairness,” said the Ondo government
The Ondo government says necessary legal action will be taken on the judgment nullifying the creation of the 33 LCDAs.
Mr Ajulo specifically stated that the persistent failure of the government to uphold the rule of law continued to affect the nation’s image and economy.
Mr Aiyedatiwa charged the newly sworn-in commissioners and special advisers to see their appointment as a call to service.
Mr Ajulo recalled that the commission had also accused him of involvement in financial crimes.
“I propose considering the sale of underutilised assets, particularly the correctional centres, located in prime areas,” said Mr Ajulo.
“It has been confirmed that the signature of Mr Governor on a certain document has been forged.”
“Through democracy, we can ensure transparent governance, safeguard human rights, and foster inclusive development,” he said.
Mr Ajulo urged the government to consider the proposal and initiate the necessary steps to pilot and implement the prison electronic tagging system in Nigeria.
Mr Ajulo said the protracted challenges Ondo State faces adversely affect its citizens’ well-being and hamper overall progress.
