Mr Obasanjo said,” It is with heavy heart I received the news of the passing of a colleague, a comrade, a cool patriot and a soldier.’’
Mr Obasanjo said, “I pray the good Lord to grant the soul of Clark a peaceful rest.’’
“My mother carried my pregnancy for 12 months before I was born, and it was said that witches and wizards were at play, making her suffer,” Mr Obasanjo said.
Mr Akinyemi said that the ex-president and Mr Anyaoku met with the governors on their own invitation to discuss regional development issues.
“If the existing investors are disinvesting and going out of our country, how do we persuade new investors to rush in.”
Mr Obasanjo suggested the other candidates can “collectively contribute” to the nation’s progress but singled out Mr Obi as his preferred candidate.
The governor was said to have visited the former president to share ideas on Nigeria’s challenges.
