Mr Obasa was re-elected as speaker on March 3 on Mr Tinubu’s order after his impeachment on January 13.
Mr Obasa is challenging the allegations that led to his initial removal as speaker, which include fraud, high-handedness, abuse of office, and gross misconduct.
The respondents in the suit are members of the state assembly and former speaker Mojisola Meranda.
The re-election was announced at the House chamber on Monday after speaker Moji Meranda resigned from her position.
Mrs Meranda made the call in her Ramadan message on Saturday in Lagos to mark the start of the 30-day fasting period.
