The collapse occurred at Yemco Schools, located on Adu Street behind County Hospital in Ogba, Lagos.
The Sunmonu Animashaun family has called on the Lagos government to conduct an assessment of the buildings.
Mr Giwa also urged states to build stronger institutions, adopt technology, and foster collaboration to improve emergency management across Nigeria.
”Oworonshoki is not the only community affected. Makoko has become a high-risk zone because of the presence of electricity cables over homes and businesses,” the official stated.
“We are repositioning these markets to be safer, more accessible, and better organised through LASURA’s comprehensive market redevelopment plan,” he said.
He said that the removal of illegal structures was a step toward planned and sustainable growth.
Mr Owalabani presented evidence proving that the defendant on separate occasions collected a total of ₦100,000 from the complainant.
LASBCA has issued a seven-day ultimatum to remove illegal structures erected under high-tension and power lines.
He said the club’s management also failed to adhere to warnings and instructions to provide adequate safety measures.
Mr Oki stated that LABCA ordered residents to vacate the buildings to prevent loss of life and property.
