Ms Nwachukwu alleged that the first complainant (Oweisana) contracted the defendant to do a scaffolding work at his site in Life Camp.
The police urged anyone with useful information that may assist the investigation to come forward.
He implored them to utilise their roles to attract foreign investment into the country.
The defendants, Michael Habu and Nuhu Dogo, are standing trial on charges bordering on joint act and stealing.
Ms Nwachukwu said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 196 the Penal Code.
The Gazette also spoke with residents who registered their displeasure about the indiscriminate dumping of refuse on streets.
“If you have not paid, we will seal up the premises, and the property then becomes the property of the FCT Administration,” said Mr Wike.

The magistrate adjourned the case until July 31 for future mention.
