Two rescued as three-storey building collapses in Abuja 

The incident occurred at Life Camp, Behind Kado Fish Market, Abuja.

The Federal Fire Service has disclosed that a three-storey building at Life Camp, in Abuja, collapsed on Sunday, with two victims trapped in the rubbble.

The FFS Head Corporate Services, A.U Umar, in a statement, stated that no life was lost, adding that officers from the Federal Capital Territory command rescued both victims.

The FFS said, “FCT Command was the first responder to a building collapse incident that occurred on Sunday, 3rd August, 2025, at about 1913 hours, in Life Camp, behind Kado Fish Market, Abuja.

“According to SF Arimah, the collapse involved a three-storey building, trapping a security guard and a young boy. Both victims were rescued alive through the combined efforts of a joint task force comprising FFS Units 199 and 75.”

The agency also stated that the police, officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, were present at the scene.
