“Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway and will be conducted with due diligence,” Ms Adeseye said.
It was gathered that firefighters found it difficult to access the buildings when they arrived at the scene.
A fire outbreak at the intersection of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Docemo in Idumota, Lagos, razed four buildings on Wednesday.
The fire service said there are no traces of casualty nor injury in the incident.
Ms Adeseye said the fire which started from the first floor had reached the fourth floor.
