Mr Pate said the initiative is in furtherance of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the health sector.
The health insurance policy in Nigeria is designed to reduce out-of-pocket health expenses and promote Universal Health Coverage.
Mrs Tinubu commended the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, and other health officials for their dedication to improving healthcare.
The health minister stated that the transformation promised by President Tinubu was already taking shape.
Mr Pate explained that out of the N233,656 billion allocated to the ministry for capital projects in 2024, only N26,552 billion had been released.
