France’s new prime minister, Sébastien Lecornu, has resigned, the Élysée Palace announced on Monday.
The federal government says it has strategised to further reduce the occurrences of accidents on the roads across the country.

“The president prays for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family,” he said.
“If there is a way we did wrong for those of us who voted YES, we ask for your forgiveness.’’
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu has urged civil and public servants to pursue honour and integrity.
He said the federal government has secured funds from the African Development Bank for budget support.
