Mr Olagunju expressed appreciation to the Ooni for his exceptional support and hospitality towards the association.
“Pa Oyewo’s death marked the end of a distinguished era in Nigerian theatre and cultural scholarship,” he said.
The Ooni said, “We must rise collectively against the menace of banditry and kidnapping.”
He described the traditional institution as indispensable to Nigeria’s unity and stability.
Thankfully, prominent groups across the country, including Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Middle Belt Forum, and the Concerned Hausa Stakeholders, have strongly rejected the proposed law.
‘‘We may not have it right 100 per cent of the time but we must get it right 90 per cent of the time for this country,’’ he said.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has called on President Bola Tinubu to carry traditional rulers along, especially in tackling insecurity.
Mr Ogunwusi insisted that it was a period of fasting and prayer to appease God and seek blessings for our land.
“We should all be reminded that the sixth of June made it exactly one year killer herdsmen killed at least over 20 people in Igangan.”
