“Of course, we strongly reject the action as we will not be parties to the blatant and flagrant violation of our party’s constitution,” the chairman said.
“You are on the right side. If the other camp fails to join you, the train will soon move. Tell them to come and join us because we need more people,” he said.
“This impunity cannot continue. We wish to say that no rent seeker can chase away a landlord in his own house.”
Mr Ganduje also pledged to ensure stronger party structures across states of the federation.
After being elected, Mr Ganduje thanked the President and assured party officials that internal democracy would rule the party under his leadership.
The meeting convened at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja after Abdullahi Adamu’s reported resignation as the national chairman.
The PDP said this in a statement issued by its spokesman Debo after a meeting at the opposition’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Mr Warmate said that instead of Mr Tambuwal, the position should rather be zoned to a state in the North-Central, precisely Plateau.
He added that in the next few days, the state executive would be invited to Abuja to resolve the crisis formally.
The former Rivers governor had filed a suit to seek a court order to stop PDP from taking action against him without a fair hearing.
