The new members, Mohammed Butu-Butu (NNPP-Rimin-Gado/Tofa) and Zakaria Ishak (NNPP-Kura/Garunmalam) won the February 3 rerun elections in their respective constituencies.

He added that the abuse of power by the ruling party and electoral officials is a “slap on the face of democracy” and Lagosians who decided to partake in the election.
Shortly after the declaration, NNPP’S agent, Shehu Usman, accused INEC of refusing to replace Mr Shekarau who defected from the party to the PDP.

Mr Mustafa said in Maiduguri on Sunday that the party was very popular in Borno and now set to shock other political parties.
An ongoing talks between the two parties could end in a stalemate over who should be the main face of a potential merger.
