The commission decried a situation where “journalists operate under difficult conditions, where freedom of expression and the press is relegated to the background.”
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Kano says it has received 238 complaints of human rights abuse between February and March.
The order follows the failure of the police to make available the case file in a petition filed by the victim’s wife.
