The defectors said their decision was part of a commitment to strengthen the opposition and promote inclusive governance.
Mr Ogbetamah formally notified the house of his defection from the APC to the NDC in a letter dated June 19.
Mr Abdullahi warned against weakening the opposition through judicial processes.
“The federal government is doing everything possible to stop me from becoming a candidate in this 2027 election, I can tell you for a fact they won’t win,” Mr Obi said.
Mr Obi warned that President Bola Tinubu’s administration might take advantage of the legislation to influence the 2027 polls by proxy.
“If you’re ready to live, you must be ready to die. If you’re not ready to die, go home,” he said.
Mr Kwankwaso served as commissioner for Youth and Sports under Governor Abba Yusuf before resigning his appointment to join the NDC.
The NDC said it is determined to build a sustainable political institution founded on party supremacy.
Mr Obi advocated holistic approach to addressing insecurity.
He also called on them to close ranks in the interest of unity.
