The police in Kano have restated that the ban on commercial motorcycles also known as Okada remains in force across Kano metropolis.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos says there is no going back on the June 1 proposed ban of Okada, commercial motorcycles on highways.
On May 12, at about 6:30 a.m. in Lekki, Lagos, an Okada rider and his cohorts murdered Mr Imoh over N100.
This is not the first time the Sanwo-Olu administration has banned Okada operations in parts of Lagos.
The ban applies to the use of motorcycles for both commercial and personal purposes.
Jimoh Lasisi, 43, and Femi Ajayi, 35, are standing trial on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, assault and breach of public peace.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FCT command, says Okada, Keke, and other vehicles killed 136 people in 759 road crashes between January and September this year.
