Mr Omo-Agege jumped the ship after losing APC’s primary election to Senator Efe Dafinone.
Mr Omo-Agege stated, “I will not remain a sitting duck in a party where I cannot advance the interests of Delta Central, Delta State and Nigeria.”
Mr Omo-Agege announced his ambition on Wednesday. He said the decision followed extensive consultations and reflection.
He said transitioning Nigeria into a productive and self-sufficient nation required patience and perseverance.
“My administration will urgently tackle the shortfall in the number of primary and secondary school teachers in the state if elected governor.”
APC is accusing PDP of mismanaging Delta state’s oil money.
Mr Tinubu on Wednesday defeated 13 other aspirants to clinch the party APC ticket for the 2023 presidential election.
“The only obligation government has is to provide the enabling environment for it to be made available,” Mr Omo-Agege said.
