The commander said the inability of troops to reach every part of the state necessitated the deployment of modern technology to enhance its operations.
”Troops are currently sustaining operations in the area to intercept and neutralise the fleeing terrorists,” he added.
Mr Oya said the body was recovered around Boi, along Pankshin – Bauchi Road in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
This was disclosed by Defence Spokesman Bernard Onyeuko while briefing reporters about military operations across the country on Thursday in Abuja.
“The troops responded swiftly and mobilised to the village, but on reaching the community, the attackers had fled the village.”
The incident occurred along the Badde-Ungwan Ayaba-Keffi road, where bandits attempted to abduct occupants of a commercial vehicle approaching from Abuja.
