Akinola Idowu, chairman of the Orile-Agege LCDA, on Friday congratulated workers, saying their resilience remains the heartbeat of progress and prosperity.
Mrs Idowu idescribed girl-child education and leadership as being vital to future of the community.
The campaign will run from January 27 to February 5 across the council area.
The Orile-Agege LCDA in Lagos says the second batch of its exercise to distribute subsidised food items to the less-privileged will commence on January 10.
The waste disposal agency said it plans to train Lagos youths on waste policing.
