Popular radio broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat has emerged as the Accord Party’s consensus governorship candidate in Oyo state.
Mr Owoseni noted that Accord Party stood out among other political parties due to its ability to attract organic grassroots support.
The governor said he has been consulting with elders, religious leaders and other key stakeholders.
He said his ambition was prompted by a ‘divine call’, as well as calls from well-meaning members of the public.
Justice Kamorudeen Olawoyin admitted the ex-queen and her co-defendants to N10 million bail each, with two reliable sureties.
Ms Silekunola, Mr Hazmat and a school principal, Abiodun Fasasi, are being prosecuted by the state over the funfair stampede that led to the death of 35 people.
Mr Makinde said, “You have given me a mandate. I will make sure you get value for the mandate.”
Mr Makinde said that everyone involved in the incident would be held accountable.
