Mr Aliyu said the alleged unlawful activities of the respondents had continued to cause untold hardship on honest Nigerians, especially, students of tertiary institutions.
The total fraud proceeds shared by all the accused officials of the Rural Electrification Agency totaled N1.85 billion.
After the separate four-count charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty, and Mr Akponimisingha applied for a trial date.
“The name Joe Odey Agi, SAN, is not on the roll of legal practitioners in Nigeria. What exists on the roll is Agi Joseph Odey, year of call, 1985,” court heard.
“The name Joe Odey Agi, SAN, is not on the roll of Legal Practitioners in Nigeria.”
Mr Agi sought an order striking out the amended charge in the case.
The defendants’ no-case submission will be heard on February 27.
The witness told the court that he (Ndifon) touched her chest near her breast area.
The judge said justice would be done to the parties.
“I will release him to you as a SAN and attach a little condition.’’
