Leader of the delegation, Abubakar Bawa-Kalgo, described the exercise as transparent, credible and in accordance with the party’s constitution.
“There is no vacancy in Aso Rock. What is happening today is the handiwork of the opposition,” said Mr Okpebholo.
The group said the PDP faction, backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesome Wike, lacked the authority to suspend members in the state.
Mr Mohammed reiterated the PDP’s commitment to internal democracy, due process, and the rule of law.
He described the current security structure as inadequate and called for an urgent reform.
The Democratic Leadership Alliance has called on aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, the African Democratic Congress, and other political parties to join the party.
Mr Mimiko said he joined the APC to support the ongoing efforts by Mr Tinubu’s administration at promoting peace, progress and development in the country.
The politician said his decision to remain in the ADC stemmed from the efforts he invested in building the party.
The move followed a closed-door meeting with key stakeholders.
“Since Buhari completed his eight years, Tinubu too must complete his own. All Atiku needs to do is to bury the thought of running again,” said Mr Onanuga.
