Mr Obi said the allegations of inconsistencies trailing the reforms should rather prompt the Tinubu-led administration to take immediate action.
“He is actively involved in the complex and demanding work of statecraft, which includes policy coordination, security oversight, diplomatic engagements…,” said APC.
“Nigeria deserves a better international image than this ongoing failure to honour previously-agreed-upon allowances before the tournament,” Mr Obi said.
Mr Baba-Ahmed’s statements followed Mr Obi’s defection from the Labour Party to the ADC in December.
Mr Tinubu, in December last year, approved the cancellation of the debts amid ongoing reform efforts by FG.
“I have always said that we want to know our position in Nigeria, are we strangers? We are the people who formed this country called Nigeria,” said Mr Nwobodo.
He argued that democracy allows political actors to make compromises in the interest of broader national goals.
Mr Obi argued that Nigeria’s current approach to taxation must be measured on the basis of honesty.
“So, if you are an Obidient and you’re not in the ADC, sorry, you’re not an Obidient- you are a disobedient,” said Kenneth Okonkwo.
