Amid debates over how to manage fuel subsidy removal proceeds, FCT minister Nyesom Wike said President Bola Tinubu cannot dictate how governors should use subsidy funds.
“We politicians are the problem of this country. There is nothing wrong with Nigeria,” Mr Obi said.
“It is profoundly embarrassing that we have reached a point where a sitting president is asking a foreign court to withhold records concerning his past,” he said.
The group insisted that its grassroots structure was built around Mr Ughulu’s leadership.
Mr Obi said funds saved from subsidy should be channeled to better the lives of Nigerians.
Mr Nwosu said the group would commence intensive mobilisation ahead of the campaigns.
“Daddy, I need you to speak to your people in the South-West and Kwara, the Christians in the South-West and Kwara,” Mr Obi said in 2023. “This is a religious war.”

The NDC chieftain stressed the need for a democracy where elections are conducted without violence.
The former governor said the decision for both of them to come together was to produce a balanced ticket.
