The judge, Irene Pati, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
On Tuesday, an Area Court in Jos sentenced Abdulraham Dahiru to three months’ imprisonment for stealing cow meat valued at N70,000.
The prosecutor said the convict was also into selling hard drugs.
The magistrate gave the convict an option to pay N20, 000 or spend one year in prison.
The judge gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine.
The prosecutor said the convict hit the complainant on the head.
During a police investigation, the steel rod was found in the convict’s possession.
Ibrahim Aliyu and Ibrahim Umar were sentenced to six months’ imprisonment each for stealing 180 litres of diesel and N250,000.
The convict confessed to having absconded with the vehicle and converted it to personal use.
Mr Nuhu said the accused trespassed into his compound and stole his motorcycle.
