The police chief promised to sustain pressure on all persons involved in aiding criminality in any form.
He said the interrogation of the suspects led to the recovery of additional exhibits linked to the case.
“It has become increasingly evident that a highly centralised policing structure is overstretched in a nation of more than 220 million people,” he said.
The police noted that most of the six stabbing victims did not suffer serious injuries.
The suspect was traced to Katsina State where he was arrested.
