Mr Disu assured the victim’s family that the tragic incident would not be treated lightly.
The exercise will be conducted at designated centres across the 36 states and FCT.
“Qualified applicants are to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday, April 24 to print their examination invitation card,” said the PSC.
The Police Community Relations Committee has commended the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force for transparency in recruitment.
The PSC also approved the promotion of Danjuma Aboki and Dansabo Idi from the rank of commissioners of police to AIGs.
The approval followed “rigorous” written examinations and oral interviews presided over by the PSC chairman, Hashimu Argungu.
The commission said all applications must be submitted online via www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.
The PSC chairman urged the newly promoted officers to imbibe the spirit of nationalism.
Mr Ani said the move would also help to prevent corruption and nepotism in the system.
Mr Ani listed promoted officers, as 16 deputy commissioners of police, 27 assistant commissioners of police, and 145 chief superintendents of police.
