On Wednesday, the 12-person jury in Chicago convicted Mr Kelly of six out of the 13 charges levelled against him.
“The government respectfully submits that a sentence in excess of 25 years is warranted,” they stated in court on Wednesday, June 8, seeking a fine between $50,000 and $250,000.
R. Kelly has requested the services of Jennifer Bonjean, the attorney who worked to free Bill Cosby from sexual charges.
