Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan said INEC has no excuses regarding electronic transmission, given its humongous 2026 budget.
The amendment noted that if electronic transmission failed due to network communication issues, manual result sheets (Form EC8A) would be used for election results collation.
Mr Amaechi joined protesters to force the Senate to rescind its decision not to make real-time electronic transmission of election results mandatory in the Electoral Act.
