Mr Abdullahi said those rescued had been taken to the ward head of Gargajiga town.
Mr Muhammad explained that the incident occurred at midnight on Thursday, December 12.
Saminu Abdullahi, the agency’s spokesman, disclosed this in an interview in Kano on Tuesday.
Mr Abdullahi said, “Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched firemen to the scene.”
Mr Abdullahi said the service responded to 12 emergency calls and one false alarm from residents of the state during the period.
The service’s spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi, told journalists on Tuesday in Kano that five persons died and N15.6 million property were lost to the fire in June.
“Upon receiving the information, we quickly sent a fire vehicle to the scene at about 8:34 p.m. to bring the fire under control.’’
The Kano State Fire Service has recorded 222 fire incidents in different parts of the state between January and March.
The service’s public relations officer, Saminu Abdullahi, said two persons died, while property worth N43.6 million was destroyed by fire during the period.
A 60-year-old man, Danjuma, aka Black, his son, Ibrahim, 35, and Aminu Gaye, also 35, died in a pit latrine while trying to recover a phone.
