The Federal Road Safety Corps has handed over N101,170 and a motorcycle, recovered from the scene of a hit-and-run crash, to the victims’ families in Ondo.
According to the FRSC boss, five male adults, two female adults and one male child were killed in the incident.
The sector commander, who said FRSC was known for integrity, called on whoever misplaced their phone in the area to come with the proof of ownership.
A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist was crushed to death by a truck along Oda Road in Akure, Ondo.
Samuel Ibitoye, FRSC’s sector commander in Ondo, confirmed the fatal crash.
The sector commander attributed the cause of the accident to speeding.
The Federal Road Safety Corps in Ondo has reiterated its commitment to arresting any motorcyclist riding on highways without crash helmets in the state.
He called on motorists who had not fixed speed limit devices on their vehicles, especially commercial vehicles, to do so.

Similarly, NSCDC deployed 1,350 personnel in Edo and 2,250 in Lagos.
