Mr Idris-Abdullahi stated, “The suspects were arrested after a good Samaritan gave a report to the NSCDC outpost in the area.”
The deceased reportedly took ill on January 7 and was rushed to a hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
Mr Abdulmumini reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure during and after the festivities.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has apprehended six suspected motorcycle thieves in Kano State.
Mr Idris-Abdullahi said that weapons recovered from the suspects included one locally made gun, knife and a cutlass.
Mr Idris-Abdullahi said the suspect, who hails from Layin Tankin Magi, Kura LGA of Kano State,
“The suspects were arrested for allegedly terrorising the community.”
