Mr Akin-Longe said that the resumption, scheduled for September 9, was postponed until further notice.
The lawmaker said that President Muhammadu Buhari was eager to bring the over eight-month-old strike to an end.
Mr. Adedoyin tagged Lagosians as natural lawbreakers, urging the government to do more in enforcing COVID-19 laws.
“School authorities should therefore refrain from asking students or parents to undergo COVID-19 test before they are accepted in their schools.”
They specifically recommended morning and afternoon sessions as a viable shift system.
Also, pupils in primary four and five who are yet to complete the second term examination would resume on October 6.
