Mr Sowore vowed to tackle corruption, insecurity, and poor governance.
Mr Kehinde, however, expressed surprise that neither Mr Sowore nor his lawyer was in court.
Mr Sowore alleged that Mr Egbetokun ordered operatives of the Lagos State Police Command to shoot him on sight in Oworonshoki.
Mr Sowore announced the planned protest on Wednesday, stating that he had set aside political differences to unite with figures across party lines.
The human rights activist vowed to continue his activism “with or without a Twitter account.”
Mr Oregbo insisted that the police are not backing down on their demands from the government.
Mr Sowore wrote, “I have just been released by the Nigerian Immigration after a brief detention and my passport released back to me.’’
The whistleblower, who operated mainly on Twitter, also posted classified police signals to expose internal wrongdoing and wranglings in the security force.
Sowore said that despite his ordeal in the hands of the Buri regime, he would not back out in ensuring an egalitarian society.
