He said the CP directed that the suspect be charged to court upon completion of discreet investigation.
He said that operatives of the command arrested the suspect over alleged culpable homicide.
The police command in Bauchi says it arrested nine armed robbery suspects allegedly terrorising residents.
“Sympathisers rushed the constable to the General Hospital, Darazo, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor,’’ the police spokesman stated.
He said the five suspects were arrested for committing different offences in different parts of the state.
“Investigation is still on, after which the suspects would be profiled and charged to court for prosecution on the established offences accordingly.”

The kidnap suspects had allegedly kidnapped Ojo Tobi David, a 400-level student of the Bauchi State University.
The five suspects allegedly committed criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and culpable homicide.
“During interrogation, all the suspects confessed to having partaken in the activities of thug and thuggery (sara-suka) towards terrorising the innocent citizens of the state.”
