The command said that suspect would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
The CP stated that the command remains resolute in its zero-tolerance against cultism and other violent crimes.
The suspect said, “I don’t know what triggered him against me.’’
The motorcyclist had been declared missing on Sunday before his body was discovered in the well.
The police said that the suspects were found to have been involved in large scale digital impersonation schemes and other cyber-related offences.
The spokesperson stated that efforts were being intensified to recover the stolen items.
Mr Nansel said the rider fled and abandoned the motorcycle when the operatives flagged it down.
The police spokesman said, “During the gun duel, four of the suspected kidnappers were shot and later gave up the ghost, while others escaped with gunshot injuries.”
The state police spokesperson stated that one AK-47 rifle, and one pump-action gun were recovered from the suspects.
“The victim, an Arabic pupil, was reportedly housed in the suspect’s residence, where he was subjected to inappropriate conduct for two months,” said the police.
