A coroner sitting in the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court has barred journalists and the public from covering and witnessing the inquest.
The blackish substance was found in the second autopsy conducted by a LASUTH pathologist.
“In October, I was informed that the deceased was told to describe the nudity of his sister by some students.”
The Lagos state government had initially recommended that Dowen College and its staff be prosecuted for negligence.
The school has questioned why the a sick Sylvester Oromoni was “driven away from Dowen College in Lagos to Warri,” and not flown by air.
The chief magistrate ordered that they stay within two kilometres of their residence at all times.
“The President urges the Police to continue the ongoing investigation until they get to the root of the matter in order for the law to take its course.”
The father said the school management were wrong to have allowed the five culprits to leave the school without informing the police.
The school is to remain closed indefinitely pending the outcome of an investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a student of the school.
