Mr Alake stated, “Going forward, no teacher will be allowed to stand before a Nigerian classroom without proper registration and licensing by TRCN.”
She also urged the government to discontinue its policy of non-funding the TRCN and assist the council by paying workers’ salaries.
Mr Rauf said the University of Ilorin was also a centre used to conduct the police and pension service promotion examinations.
Ms Ezeahurukwe said the impact of the exercise had widely been felt both nationally and internationally.
“Most of these agencies are not respectful of constituted authority,” said Mr Gagdi. “We are supposed to have the presence of 40 agencies, but only four are here.”
Mr Ajiboye noted that the TRCN had registered more than 2.3 million teachers in its database.
The Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, has appointed Muhammad Sani-Aliyu as its new director of physical planning and development.
The stipend is for education students in public universities as well as for students in federal colleges of education.
