A cybersecurity expert, Emmanuella Aston, says poor understanding of personal data protection among Nigerians is increasing exposure to cyber exploitation and online attacks.
Techsocietal said a survey had shown that 79 per cent of Nigerian children aged 11 to 16 years feel unsafe online.
Ms Ogundipe said that data from ActionAid indicated that about 45 per cent of women in Nigeria had experienced cyberstalking.
“Citing various cybercrime cases, Mr Henry said it was sad that victims failed to report because they believe “they have seen the worst.”
