He said the attacks were at three different points, with the last barricade around Kwali Federal Capital Territory at about 4:20 p.m.
Mr Olatubosun said that the projects were part of the state government’s quest to boost its economy and create accessible roads in the state.
The officers were ambushed and killed around 1:30 p.m. on Friday on Ihiala-Orlu Road en route to Umuahia while on official duty.
The government said the training was to promote harmony between traditional rulers and politicians.
The gunmen had opened fire on the joint police/military team at a checkpoint near Afo-Uzo junction in Isuofia Community.
